Association of Active Cultural Animators (SAAK) is a Polish NGO established in 2009 and based in Hrubieszów, eastern Poland, near the Polish-Ukrainian border. SAAK is an umbrella organisation supporting NGOs, informal groups and local initiatives. We strengthen civil society, local communities and social inclusion through education, training, consultancy and community engagement. We help organisations develop their capacity, build partnerships and implement local initiatives. We also support unemployed people and those at risk of social exclusion in developing skills and finding their place in the labour market. Our beneficiaries include young people, job-seekers, migrants and social economy organisations. SAAK has experience in national and international cooperation, including partnerships with organisations from Ukraine and Georgia.
